Chiropractic Adjustments — Ozark, MO
Specific. Targeted. Never the entire treatment plan.
Book Your AssessmentThe Approach
Most chiropractic offices adjust your spine three times a week and call that a plan. You come in, get cracked, go home, and repeat. You either give up or the pain fades on its own. That's not how we work.
At The Athlete Spot, adjustments are one tool inside a complete rehab plan. We figure out why the restriction developed in the first place. Then we fix it and fix the cause — so it doesn't lock back up when you get back to training.
We go well beyond the spine. Shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, feet. Athletic injuries rarely live in the spine alone. Your deadlift loads your hips, your upper back, and your ankles — not just your lower back. Your overhead press is not a shoulder-only event. We find the joints your sport stresses and adjust them. Then we build the strength to keep that motion once you leave.
The Difference
No maintenance plans designed to keep you coming back forever. Your goal is to need us less over time — not more. We build your body to handle load on its own.
No "you need to be adjusted before every game" dependency. That is not rehab. That is a subscription. We do not build those here.
You come in when your body needs it — based on what your assessment and progress show. Not based on a calendar. Not based on a preset visit package.
Every adjustment is paired with progressive loading. The motion you gain actually stays. You are building the strength to support it.
One doctor. Accountable to your outcome. Dr. Kauffman does your assessment, builds your program, and delivers your adjustments. He manages your case between visits. Every visit is targeted because he already knows what has changed. No rotating providers. No hand-offs.
What We Treat
If a joint is restricted and it’s limiting your training, it shows up here.
Spinal Adjustments
Neck, upper back, lower back, and sacrum. Targeted to restore the specific motion your sport demands — not a full-spine crack-down every visit.
Shoulder Adjustments
Shoulder joint and AC joint restrictions. If you press overhead, bench press, or swim — shoulder mobility is non-negotiable. We fix the restriction and keep it fixed.
Elbow & Wrist
Elbow and wrist joint restrictions. If your grip, push, or pull is off, these joints are usually part of the problem.
Hip Adjustments
Labrum issues, hip flexor restrictions, and SI joint. Hip mobility drives your squat depth and your stride length. We find the restriction and fix it.
Knee & Ankle
Kneecap tracking, ankle sprains, and post-injury stiffness. Ankle mobility alone affects your squat, your landing, and your risk of getting hurt again.
Rib Adjustments
Rib pain and breathing restrictions. If your ribs are not moving right, your breathing is off — and that affects everything from your overhead work to your recovery.
If a joint is restricted and it’s limiting your training, we find out why during your Assessment — and fix both the restriction and the cause.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often will I need to come in for adjustments?
Only when your body needs it. We do not run maintenance plans. Your visits are based on your progress — not a preset schedule. The goal is to build you to the point where you need us less, not more.
Do adjustments hurt?
Most adjustments are painless. You may hear a pop — that is just gas releasing from the joint. Some techniques are firmer, others are gentle. We match the technique to your body and your comfort level. You will not get cracked the same way every visit.
Do you only adjust the spine?
No. We adjust every joint your sport stresses — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, and feet. Athletic injuries rarely live in the spine alone. If your ankle is stiff after a sprain, that restriction matters just as much as anything in your lower back.
Is chiropractic care safe for athletes?
Yes. Adjustments restore normal joint motion. That is essential for both performance and injury prevention. Every adjustment here is paired with progressive rehab so the motion you gain translates to real strength and stability.
Do I need a referral?
No. Missouri allows direct access — book your Assessment directly. No paperwork chain. No waiting room delays. Show up, get assessed, and start fixing the problem.
